According to officials, a speeding car hit the vehicle of two women from behind, throwing them onto the road and leaving them critically injured following which the RTO officials rushed to their rescue

The event was organised to spread awareness about road safety and was attended by around 600 participants. People from the age group of 5 to 80 years, including senior citizens, school students and women runners, took part enthusiastically
