The United States says it has issued a 30-day waiver allowing India to purchase Russian oil already at sea, aiming to stabilize global energy markets during escalating tensions in West Asia. At the same time, the Kremlin has refused to disclose how much crude it is exporting to India, citing security concerns and “too many ill wishers.” Russian officials say Moscow is ready to increase oil shipments to India and China as disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz threaten global supply routes.

As tensions surrounding Iran’s missile and drone capabilities intensify, Ukraine says it is ready to share hard-earned battlefield expertise with partners in the Middle East. Zelenskyy revealed that Ukrainian military specialists could be deployed to assist countries facing growing threats from Iranian drone and missile systems. The proposal follows increasing concern across the Gulf over the spread of Iranian-made strike drones, particularly the Shahed systems that have repeatedly targeted Ukrainian cities and infrastructure during Russia’s war against Ukraine.
