Aurangabad
In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar’s Gulmandi area, an elderly couple arrived at a jewellery shop with just Rs.1100, money they had collected over a month by begging. While most shopkeepers turned them away, one jeweller listened to their story and was deeply moved. He sold them a gold ornament worth 1 gram for just Rs.20. The couple hails from a small village in Mantha tehsil, Jalna. After suffering losses in farming, they moved to the city and survived by begging.
