Craving a mini adventure that comes with full-sized fun? This hour-long workshop on sculpting miniature food magnets is just the trick

You know those cute clay miniature magnets of your favourite foods? Tiny fried eggs and ramen bowls, or a thumb-sized box of doughnuts? They’re oh-so-cute, but usually expensive. Shelling out upwards of Rs 500 for a single magnet of a ramen bowl — no matter how adorable — pinches all the more when a full-sized bowl of the food item costs about the same. But, what if you could learn to make your own, and enjoy some quality time with family and friends to boot?
So we were thrilled when we saw a poster for a clay miniature magnet workshop by event services company Social Sailor. The workshop is held every Saturday and Sunday at Blue Tokai in BKC and Fort. An hour of playing with clay, while sipping coffee — it sounds like the perfect date with your bestie. Our art hosts for the day, Priya Rajpurohit and Shubhi Upadhyay, tell us that the workshop is also very popular with couples and families. Participants can sculpt a variety of items, from miniatures to toy figurines.
