Kingston: A patient G Hanuma Vihari struck the third half-century of his career to guide India to a strong position against the West Indies on the second day of the second cricket Test here on Saturday. Vihari was batting on 86, while his partner Ishant Sharma was on 31 with India on 358-7 at the time of going to press. India were 336-7 at lunch interval.
Vihari was cautious in his approach, but Ishant batted aggressively after the lunch interval, adding 20 runs in quick time. Coming on to bat at the overnight score of 42, Vihari stuck to his task and held one end together to go into the break unbeaten on 84 off 158 balls, 16 runs shy of his maiden century.
