The Nevsky District landmark, once a bustling hub of trade and cultural heritage, was consumed overnight in a blaze fueled by strong winds, resulting in one confirmed death and at least two injuries, including carbon monoxide poisoning and a man who leapt to escape. Firefighters deployed 96 personnel and 26 units, battling multiple explosions and intense flames that tore through the two-storey market complex.
