One person was killed while 11 were injured after their bus rammed into a wall in Gondia in Maharashtra on Monday, reported PTI citing a police official.
As per the PTI report, the mishap took place on <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/mumbai-rs-19-crore-worth-gold-busted-at-csmia-23353514" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Gondia-Goregaon</a> road near Milltoli after the driver lost control of the bus around 7.30am, the official said. The bus had a Madhya Pradesh registration number.
"The bus with 35 passengers was on its way back from Hyderabad in Telangana. Driver Mohit Umaprasad Kirsan, a resident of Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh, lost control of the vehicle and it rammed into the compound wall of an agricultural firm and weigh bridge. Of the 12 people who were injured, one person identified as Thansingh Yadav (30) died while undergoing treatment," the Gondia Rural police station official said.
A team under Inspector <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/jammu-kashmir-nine-feared-dead-33-injured-in-terrorist-attack-on-pilgrims-bus-in-reasi-23353416" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Chandrakant Kale</a> cleared the road and normalised traffic after the accident, he said.
The driver has been arrested and further probe is underway, the official added.&nbsp;

A woman died and two others sustained injuries in a collision between a private bus and a state transport bus on the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/pune-car-crash-illegal-portions-of-resort-owned-by-juveniles-family-razed-in-mahabaleshwar-23353243" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi</a> Expressway in Buldhana district, Maharashtra, police reported on Sunday.
The incident occurred on the Chikhali-Mehkar stretch of Samruddhi Expressway on Saturday morning when a private bus travelling from Surat to Mehkar collided with a state transport bus from behind.
A female passenger aboard the state transport bus suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital. Two other passengers sustained injuries and are receiving medical treatment.
The driver of the luxury bus has been arrested under section 304-A of the Indian Penal Code for causing death by negligence, along with other relevant charges.
Another incident occurred earlier in April on the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-bmc-to-replicate-crs-successful-anti-landslide-strategy-23350972" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Samruddhi Expressway</a> in Maharashtra's Nashik district, killing at least two people and badly injuring three more, according to PTI.
The SUV was going from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to Nashik when it lost control and flipped in Khamble Shivar hamlet, near Sinnar. The deceased were named Bajirao Eknath Gangurde (65) and Nisha Ramkisan Gatkal (20), with one admitted to a private hospital in Sinnar and the other to the District Civil Hospital in Nashik, the news agency report stated.
