The <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/western-railway-to-run-22-trips-of-3-pairs-of-ganpati-special-trains-check-details-23302734" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Western Railway</a> on Friday said that it will operate a jumbo block on Sunday.&nbsp;
In an official statement, the Western Railway said that it will operate a jumbo block between Santacruz and Goregaon railway stations on Sunday.
The Western Railway said, to carry out maintenance work of tracks, signaling and overhead equipment, a Jumbo Block of five hours will be taken on up and down slow lines between Santacruz and Goregaon stations from 10.00 hrs to 15.00 hrs on Sunday, August 13.
According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur &ndash; Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, during the block period, all slow line suburban trains will be operated on fast line between <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/santacruz-articles" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Santacruz</a> and Goregaon stations.&nbsp;
All slow suburban services will not halt at Vile Parle and Ram Mandir railway station in both directions due to non-availability of platform on the fast lines. Hence, passengers will be allowed to travel in opposite direction for their destinations between Vile Parle and Ram Mandir railway stations.&nbsp;
Some suburban trains will remain cancelled during the block and also some of the Borivali trains will be worked upto Goregaon. Detailed information to this effect is available with concerned Station Masters.
In an another statement, the Western Railway said, for the convenience of passengers and with a view to meet the travel demand, Western Railway has decided to extend the periodicity of Train No. 09037/09038 Bandra Terminus &ndash; Barmer Weekly Special Train on Special Fare on existing composition, timings, stoppages, etc.&nbsp;
According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur &ndash; Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Train No. 09037 Bandra Terminus - Barmer Special which was earlier notified up to 29th September, 2023 has now been extended up to 29th December, 2023. Train No. 09038 Barmer &ndash; Bandra Terminus Weekly Special which was earlier notified up to 30th September, 2023 has now been extended up to 30th December, 2023.
The booking for Train No. 09037 will open from 12th August, 2023 at all PRS Counters and on IRCTC website.
