Illegal parking at bus stops: Traffic police impose Rs 10.51 lakh in fines

Mumbai Traffic Police conducted a special drive against illegal parking at bus stops across the city, filing 26,462 cases and collecting Rs 10.51 lakh in fines to keep bus stops clear and ensure commuter safety

In a bid to tackle the growing problem of vehicles parking at bus stops — causing inconvenience to the public and endangering commuter safety — the Mumbai Traffic Police (MTP) recently conducted a special enforcement drive across the city.

During the operation, 26,462 cases were registered against violators, and fines amounting to Rs 10,51,600 were collected.
