In a significant academic turnaround, the Mumbai division recorded a 92.93 per cent pass percentage in the Maharashtra HSC (Std XII) Board Exams 2025—a marked improvement that catapulted it from last place in 2024 to third position among the state’s nine divisions.
While the jump in pass percentage from 91.95 per cent in 2024 to 92.93 per cent in 2025 was marginal (a 0.98 per cent rise), it was enough to boost Mumbai’s ranking significantly—highlighting both its own improvement and a comparative dip in performance by other divisions.
