IMD predicts heavy rains in parts of Maharashtra from July 21 to 27

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted heavy rains in parts of Maharashtra between July 21 and 27, officials said.

According to the latest weather advisory issued by the weather department, several parts of Maharashtra is set to experience heavy rainfall activity this week.

It said that the increased rainfall is due to several weather systems developing over the region. A cyclonic circulation over south Odisha and a trough from Karnataka to Andhra Pradesh are influencing weather patterns.
