HSC 2025 Results: Girls outperform boys while regional gaps persist

Pass percentage dips slightly to 91.88; girl students outshine boys yet again

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education declared the results of the Std XII examinations held in February and March 2025. The overall pass percentage dropped to 91.88 per cent, a decline of 1.49 per cent compared to 93.37 per cent in 2024.

As in previous years, girls outperformed boys across nearly all divisions. A total of 14,27,905 students from all divisions—Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur, and Konkan—had registered under the regular category. Of these, 14,19,969 appeared and 13,29,684 passed, resulting in a 93.37 per cent pass rate.
