<p>The officials said a fire broke out at a cafe located in a multi-storey residential building in Maharashtra's <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/fire-breaks-out-at-textile-processing-unit-in-thane-district-23586100" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Thane city</a> early Thursday morning, following which 35 persons were evacuated from the structure, reported news agency PTI.<p>

<p>No casualty has been reported as of now, Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management cell chief Yasin Tadvi said, reported PTI.</p>
<p>The blaze erupted in the Parsik Cafe located on the ground floor of the six-storey building at Kharegaon in Kalwa (West), he said.</p>
<p>The disaster management cell received information about the incident at 4.58 am from the owner of the cafe, a 1,000 sq ft establishment situated in the Chandrabhaga Park complex at Parsik Nagar in <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/fire-breaks-out-at-thane-high-rise-no-casualties-reported-23562505" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Kalwa area</a>, the official said, reported PTI.</p>
<p>The building, a six-storey structure, also houses another wing, where residents were asleep when the blaze broke out.</p>
<p>"For safety reasons, all residents of Chandrabhaga Park B Wing were safely evacuated with the help of the fire department and disaster management cell personnel," Tadvi stated, reported PTI.</p>
<p>The blaze caused significant damage inside the cafe, destroying tables, chairs, grates, fridges, cupboards and other <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/fire-destroys-28-electricity-meters-in-thane-residential-building-23586328" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">kitchen materials</a>, he said, reported PTI.</p>
<p>Fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was extinguished by 6.25 am, the official said.</p>
<p>Authorities were investigating the cause of the fire, he added.</p>
<h2>Fire breaks out at textile processing unit in Thane district</h2>
<p>In another incident, in July, A fire broke out at a cloth processing unit in an industrial belt in Maharashtra's Thane district, an official said, reported news agency PTI.</p>
<p>No one was injured in the factory fire that erupted at MIDC in <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/fire-breaks-out-at-cafe-in-thane-no-injuries-reported-23548480" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Dombivali</a> around 12.30 pm, he said.</p>
<p>Five fire engines from the local fire station and nearby areas and a team of emergency responders were rushed to the spot behind the Manpada police station, the official said, reported PTI.</p>
<p>The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, the official added.</p>
<h2>Fire breaks out at Thane high-rise</h2>
<p>In June, a fire had broken out at a 14-storey residential building in the Mumbra area of <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/fire-breaks-out-at-thane-scrapyard-no-injuries-reported-23556030" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Maharashtra's</a> Thane district in the early hours of June 8, reported PTI.</p>
<p>They said there was no report of any casualty.</p>
<p>The Sheel Fire Station reported the blaze at 2.54 am to the disaster control room.</p>
<p>The fire originated in an electric duct between the fourth and seventh floors of the A-wing of the S K Residency building, located near <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/fire-breaks-out-at-thane-building-95-electricity-meters-destroyed-23521193" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Mumbra bypass</a>, Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management cell chief Yasin Tadvi said, reported PTI.</p>
