<p>Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has started shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati' starring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.</p>
<p>The period drama stars Shahid Kapoor as Raja Ratan Singh.</p>
<p>"Day 1. #Padmavati wish me luck guys," the 35-year-old actor posted on Instagram along with a picture of his bearded look.</p>
<p>Ranveer Singh is essaying the role of Alauddin Khilji, the medieval-era Delhi sultan, who falls in love with Padmavati.</p>
<p>Sudeep Chatterjee is serving as the director of photography.</p>
<p>While Ranveer and Deepika have worked with Bhansali before in "Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela" and "Bajirao Mastani," it is the first time that Shahid is teaming up with the filmmaker.</p>
