Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has been cast in&nbsp;Aditya Chopra's directorial venture 'Befikre'.
Yash Raj Films chose to reveal the star cast of the film through a video shared on social media. Watch the video to know how Ranveer reacted on finding out he has been cast in the film.

The 'Dil Dhadakne Do' star said he felt special to be&nbsp;chosen for the project because Aditya could have taken any actor.
This would be the first time Aditya will direct a film in&nbsp;seven years and without superstar-friend Shah Rukh Khan, the leading star of his directorial previous ventures--"Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayeinge", "Mohabbatein" and "Rab Ne Bana&nbsp;Di Jodi".

But the casting choice can be explained by filmmaker's description of 'Befikre' as his "youngest and riskiest" movie ever.
YRF is yet to make an official announcement on the leading lady to be cast opposite Ranveer Singh. If the grapevine is to be believed, the 'Shuddh Desi Romance' actress Vaani Kapoor&nbsp;might be roped in.

Though the actress did a Tamil film 'Aaha Kalyanam' (2014), she has been missing from the Bollywood scene.
Aditya Chopra has shared earlier that 'Befikre' will "probably not" have the potential to be as successful as his earlier films -- including 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' and 'Mohabbatein' -- but has admitted that he absolutely loves it. 
The film's tagline reads - "Those who dare to love", indicating that love will be a core element in Aditya's new film.
'Befikre' was announced by Aditya in a special note on&nbsp;father Yash Chopra's 83rd birth anniversary on September 27.
