On Thursday, Akshay Kumar started the journey of his ambitious film, Ram Setu, by conducting the mahurat shot in Ayodhya. mid-day found exclusive pictures of the superstar performing a puja in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex before kicking off work on the Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha-starrer.  

Kumar, who had announced the Abhishek Sharma-directed venture last Diwali,  had described it as “a bridge between generations past, present and future.”
