Coming from an engineering background, the actress says she never wanted to be an actor four years back and it was fate that she landed up doing movies. &quot;I never wanted to act. I was happy doing my engineering and was about to start off with my job. But my mother has always been keen about movies and asked me to try my hands on modelling, which I did for fun. &quot;Later I got some really good offers from South and I thought of giving it a shot. When I was well received by the audience there I did not want to stop,&quot; she said. The trailer has been well received by the audience and the film will hit theatres this Friday. Taapsee says her character in the movie is nothing like that of Deepti Naval&#39;s and she hopes people do not compare the two. &quot;It is a little unfair to compare the characters without seeing the movie. We have just taken the name and the base storyline. My character you cannot even think of comparing it with Deepti ma&#39;am. My character is very rebellious and out of the box, where as Deepti ma&#39;am&#39;s was of a very coy, saari clad women. If I would have to do that, I would have had a nervous break down.&quot; On her upcoming projects, the actress says she will be very careful as she does not want to be known as just another commercial heroine. &quot;I am going to be very particular about the next movie I take up. I want to do the stuff which people can relate to. I want to take a step higher than &#39;Chashme Badoor&#39;. I don&#39;t want to be another commercial heroine who can be replaced by anybody. I want to make a niche for myself,&quot; she added.u00a0
