The actress thanks designer Anju Modi because her costumes helped her get into the character in Sanjay Leela Bhansali&#39;s latest directorial venture. <img alt="'Ram Leela'" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2013/aug/ram-leela_2.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 717px;" /> &quot;Anju has done a fabulous job considering this is her first feature film...I felt in the character the minute I wore the clothes. I felt like Leela,&quot; said the actress here in an interview. &quot;I think that is the most important aspect when a designer comes on board. It&#39;s so important to allow the actor to feel like the character,&quot; added the actress who also appreciated Modi&#39;s understanding of colours and cuts. Set in the backdrop of Gujarat, the film is said to be an adaptation of Shakespeare&#39;s epic love story &quot;Romeo and Juliet&quot;, which will see Deepika romancing Ranveer Singh when the film comes out Nov 29.
